Established in 1947, the multi-specialty group formerly known as Wichita Clinic was acquired by Via Christi Health in 2010. With more than 200 doctors practicing in more than 40 specialties, Via Christi Clinic (viachristiclinic.com) is one of the state’s largest outpatient multi-specialty group practices and is accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care. The organization has multiple locations in Kansas and the Wichita metropolitan area. More than a half million patient visits were made to Via Christi Clinic in 2012. Via Christi Clinic currently operates in Sedgwick, Harvey and Butler counties.

Via Christi Clinic patients enjoy and utilize a wide range of services, encompassing the full-service Sleep Medicine Center of Kansas as well as Breast Care Services and Via Christi Advanced Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery. A 32,000 square foot Founders’ Circle ambulatory surgery center with 7 state-of-the art operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites was completed in September 2005.

Other resources include a full-service lab and an on-site pharmacy. Immediate care facilities offer day, evening and weekend coverage for patients who need medical attention but not an emergency room. Ancillary services for patients include a full-service radiology department with 64-slice CT, 1.5 T open bore MRI, nuclear medicine, PACS, digital mammography and sonography. These services feature diagnostic capabilities equivalent to those found in many large hospitals.

Via Christi Health hospitals feature a Level I Trauma and the only regional burn center at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis. Via Christi Hospital on East Harry and Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis offer da Vinci® Robotic surgery. Via Christi Hospital on East Harry features a neonatal intensive care center. The newest hospital in the system is Via Christi Hospital on St. Teresa which opened its doors in August 2010.
